For a few months I was the resident painter of the Ohio River Yacht Club, a few miles east of Cincinnati, which meant that I could come and go looking for things to paint. This houseboat, beached for the better part of a year, was the scene of many gatherings, all of which required refreshments. I was never invited aboard, but at least I was able to capture the noble efforts of the boat’s owner on behalf of his guests.
